Exciting progress is being made on the St. Joseph Parish Center (SJPC) project. For more than a year and a half, our volunteer Design and Construction Team has been working behind the scenes to help plan the future of our parish campus.
The Team Behind the Project
We are grateful for the dedicated parishioners and professionals who have generously shared their time and expertise to help guide this project. Several important milestones have already been completed:- Parish staff moved into new office space in the 200 building on June 1.
- Volunteers emptied, moved, and stored furniture from the former parish office in preparation for demolition.
- Construction is underway on a new conference center in the lower level of the 200 building for staff and ministry use.
- Demolition of the former Parish Office began on July 20 and is expected to be completed by mid-August. Water is being used to minimize dust during demolition, and approximately 70% of the building materials are expected to be recycled.
With demolition underway, planning for the new St. Joseph Parish Center continues to move forward. CVG, our project architect, is advancing the building design, while Mazur and Sons, our general contractor, continues working with the design team on planning and cost estimates.
The goal is to complete construction drawings this year, begin bidding by the end of 2026, and start construction in the second quarter of 2027. More updates will be shared as the project progresses.
